In August 2017, with the filing of the first "Ethics Complaint" under the new Administration, the Clerk's Office began a now policy of posting the Complaints on-line. The postings provided social media sport for mostly anonymous posters. As more Complaints were filed, some elected officials began to realize the error of the Clerk's Office decision. The Village Attorney then advised that since the Complaints initiate "disciplinary adjudications" they should not be posted. This comes at an opportune time for those elected officials and employees to avoid the ridicule visited upon them by the social media cowards. While the identity of the individuals involved is irrelevant, it is important for people to know what is going on with their tax dollars and what potentially is being done that will effect them in huge ways.
